The m. dibble vignette series is comprised of sporadic conceptual pieces with varying themes independent of other collections. Each vignette is comprised of one or two items that convey an idea, emotion, or statement independent of a fully realized capsule. Each vignette is titled 00. followed by the concept name.

  • The first concept of the vignette series, titled 00. γ-235, was released alongside the first capsule collection on June 13th. The name of this first vignette, γ-235, references both the fissile isotope of uranium that sustains a nuclear reaction as well as radioactive gamma decay. This vignette is by Kyo’s performance of Dir en Grey’s magnum opus Vinushka during the Androgynos live set at the Nippon Budokan. The song is an emotional exploration that dives into the aftermath of nuclear warfare and the lived experiences of civilians in the aftermath of destruction.

The first of the two γ-235 pieces is a pair of Kaihara denim jeans that have been aged and sashiko stitched by hand to create a boro piece in the visage of a tattered American flag. The vintage materials that comprise the flag boro are from the war era as well as the years following. This piece features inset patches, multiple composite layers of textiles, hand distressing/antiquing, hand stitched sashiko, and a variety of antique Americana patches.

The second of the two γ-235 pieces is an antique, destroyed tshirt patched with a tattered and decayed hand-embroidered appliqué. An aged and torn Mickey Mouse wraps around the back, featuring multiple visible mending techniques and patching details.
